I always intended for this to be a category in my blog about our travels.  Living in Italy for so many years managed to take up most of my attention but now, armed with hindsight, it’s not difficult to pick out the experiences that would qualify for an entry of their own…..

I suppose you could say  that most travel is an adventure, but by adventure I mean something a bit more out of the ordinary.  Something out of the realm of your own comfort zone, or an unexpected turn of events that leads you to a new place.  Of course, following a dream or letting a dream lead you, whether it’s the meticulously planned or jump-off-the-cliff variety, qualifies mightily as the best kind of adventure in my book.

We have had a variety of adventures in our life….some really life-changing, some a bit disappointing, some brilliantly entertaining.  But all of them had one thing in common….we had fun together.

So way back when we first met and it occurred to me that life with man would probably be an adventure we’d be taking together, I already knew I was going to sign on and buckle up.

The blog entries in this category will vary.  Some will be short, some will be much longer, some will even have more than one chapter, some will have photos, some will have drawings…..and I think to keep it interesting, they won’t be posted in chronological order (after all, we’re talking about more than 50 years here).  Each of them added something to our lives when they occurred, we were made different by some of them, and they continue to amuse us as we look back upon them.
